Hardware & Lumber as we now know it is a merger of several companies which took place in 2004. Grace Kennedy's Rapid Sheffield and Agro Grace and Pan Jam’s H & L True Value, H & L Agri and Marine.

Today Hardware & Lumber Ltd. is comprised of three separate divisions. Rapid True Value — the foremost local supplier of hardware and home improvement products, Agro Grace — the most trusted local wholesaler and retailer of agricultural products, and H&L Wholesale — one most trusted suppliers of hardware and building materials, servicing the needs of resellers, contractors and developers.

The H&L distribution network includes 1 main distribution center, which is comprised of 6 separate and distinct stock storage and picking locations. There is also a secondary distribution center at New Port East, which mainly caters to the Hardware/Homeware side of the business and 1 main warehouse, which supports AgroGrace's retail locations.
